YelloW

A great man of God once said that our lives will get busier every year until we retire... the past few weeks I had a personal revelation of that... I thank God that I have the opportunity to do the things I do now :)

Over the past year, I have came to appreciate what I call "individual" sports. It started with the Singapore Marathon 2006. I never ran, jogged, walked so much in my life for a short span of time before. However I'm glad I did as after this experience, I actually began to appreciate running and the benefits of it..hee like keeping a flat tummy. Also the "demise" of my regular tennis buddy contributed to the whole equation. He got married...

I began to explore other options and circumstances lead to me going for a test ride with YelloW. In the end, she sits parked near to the main door of my apartment shown in the photo above. So far I have clocked about 130km already. If you see her zipping down the streets in the wee hours of the morning, remember to say hi....

Riots And Roses - A Tribute To Nurses

Musical : Riots And Roses

Venue : ITE College East Auditorium

Seat : B20

Musical :

This 1 night only musical is birthed to commemorate the 50th Anniversay of the Singapore Nurses Association(SNA). The majority of the cast were acutally professional nurses themselves(one of them being my friend), all of them had strong performances and I must say it was a job well done! Needless to say, my friend performed well and I'm really happy(for her) that she was selected for this production.

In a nutshell, I really enjoyed myself and have come to appreciate the nursing profession more and also it's history in my country thru this production. :)

SNA - 50 years of Patience & Patients...

Side note 1: Imagine yourself lying in a hospital bed and the first face you see is a smiling missy attending to you with delicate care...You will be one of the hundreds or even thousands of patients that nurses will encounter everyday in clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, blood donation centres, etc. Thank God for them!!!

Side note 2: This is the first time(hopefully more to come!!) that I'm writing a review for a production and thus I would like to keep it short...If you find any format similarities, it's because I've copied my pal's template from his blog http://ticket-stub.blogspot.com/. If you haven't read his blog yet, where have you been?!?!

7th July 2007 - 7/7/07

I attended a close mate's church wedding ceremony on the morning of 7th July 2007. I was the backup photographer.... I like being a backup photographer.... :) It gives me more freedom to exercise my creativity instead of being occupied to capture all the essential moments. Well, here's one of my shots, cropped to retain what I deemed essential(I'm a fan of reflections).

The Today newspaper reported that a staggering 777 couples registered for marriage on this day! I believe this is a physical cap as demand will definately be greater than supply... For those who missed this day, fear not there's always 8/8/08 :P

En Bloc Fever

25th June 2007

This is my home, the place I was born. Recently there was a big "ra ra" regarding my estate's en bloc plans. The power of the media made friends and colleagues approach me, enquiring about the current situation. Seriously, it doesn't even bother me -> it's my dad's problem :) Ultimately if the whole deal goes through, i'll be happy for my folks...

Ops Crew

31st May 2007
If specialists are the backbone of the army, then operations crew must be the backbone of the church. These youths from my church were taking a breather after transporting equipment to our new church premise. When I took this picture, what attracted me was that all 3 of them seemed to be pondering on something in different directions. A penny for your thoughts?
